Amid all of the goings on at West Ham United right now, David Moyes said have been offered a chance to sign a France international.

Whilst there still could be arrivals for Moyes before tomorrow’s deadline, it seems much of the club’s efforts are being dominated by departures right now.

Said Benrahma now looks close to leaving the club for a new chapter in Ligue 1 with Lyon.

Whereas, West Ham are also poised for an improved bid for Pablo Fornals before the deadline, a player who does want to leave.

It seems a winger to replace or upgrade upon those two departures is the main focus otherwise.

But with deals now proving difficult for both Jota and Ibrahim Osman, it remains to be seen who will arrive.

That being said, Moyes’ West Ham side have now been given the chance to sign France’s Jonathan Clauss.

According to L’Equipe, 31-year-old Clauss’ relationship with his club Olympique de Marseille is starting to deteriorate.

The right-back is still a very important starter for Gennaro Gattuso, but questions have been raised over his commitment to the club.

As a result, it’s reported that West Ham have been offered a chance to sign Clauss before the deadline, who would cost around £8.5m according to this information.

The right-back didn’t train with Marseille on Tuesday, and it seems a departure is looking likely.

The report says that Clauss’ valuation is proving a problem for potential suitors, with Turkish side Galatasaray also offered the chance to make a bid.

All that being said, it does seem as if the ‘perfect‘ France international could prove a boost to West Ham’s squad, given the ambitions they still hold.

Perhaps it would be a signing with a more short-term view, but Clauss could provide healthy competition for Vladimar Coufal.

Thilo Kehrer has left, and Moyes hasn’t always trusted Ben Johnson in the biggest of games.
