West Ham United are very busy heading into the final days of the summer transfer window.
The Irons have had a difficult start to the new Premier League season, and they need all the help they can get ahead of Monday’s deadline.
El Hadji Malick Diouf and Mads Hermansen have been brought in for decent money, while Kyle Walker-Peters and Callum Wilson have arrived on free transfers.
Mateus Fernandes is the latest to come through the door, but West Ham are not done just yet.
West Ham have considered signing Victor Boniface
Victor Boniface was viewed as the next big striker a couple of years ago.
The 24-year-old joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2023, and he looked incredible in his debut season under Xabi Alonso.
Boniface was even tipped to be ‘the world’s next £100 million striker’, but things have not gone to plan for him over the last year.
The Nigeria international barely started in the second half of last season after his desired move to Saudi Arabia failed to go through.
Now, GiveMeSport have revealed that Boniface has been offered to West Ham United.
The report claims that the Irons have ‘considered’ signing the striker, who is said to be keen on moving to the Premier League.
However, the Hammers have put this move on the back burner for now and will make an eleventh-hour decision on signing him on deadline day.
Boniface, hailed as a ‘physically powerful’ striker and compared to Robert Lewandowski by the Bundesliga’s website, still has three years left on his contract at Leverkusen, but Erik ten Hag’s side are open to a sale.

Victor Boniface’s move to AC Milan collapsed after he failed his medical
Boniface looked set to move to Italy and join AC Milan this summer.
A deal was struck between the two clubs, and everyone expected him to wear the Rossoneri shirt and play for them this season.
However, that deal collapsed after an issue was found in Boniface’s medical.
“The move didn’t work out because of my past injuries,” the striker told Punch. “I had a knee injury twice on my right leg, and it has been there for a long time.”
It remains to be seen if that becomes an issue if West Ham try to sign him on deadline day.
