West Ham United survived a scare in the League Cup this evening, as they came from 1-0 down to get the better of League One side AFC Wimbledon.

A poor first-half from West Ham saw them trailing at half-time, even though the relative minnows had a man sent off.

But goals from Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna and Javier Hernandez helped West Ham pick up the 3-1 win and advance to the next round.

Plenty of players came out of this game with little credit after putting in poor displays. Others, however, deserve praise. Aaron Cresswell worked hard all game whilst Declan Rice also showed why West Ham fans are so excited about his future.

But Robert Snodgrass was another who put in an excellent display.

The Scottish winger has struggled since making a move to West Ham. The fans did not take to the player and last season he was sent out on loan to Aston Villa. He had a good season in the Championship and an excellent pre-season convinced new boss, Manuel Pellegrini, he was worth keeping around.

Snodgrass did not go missing today when the game got tough and some fans at West Ham are clearly starting to warm to him.
