West Ham fans want to see more of Silva after debut from the bench against Burnley
There were not many positives for West Ham supporters to take from their side’s limp performance in the 2-0 defeat against struggling Burnley yesterday.
Goals from Chris Wood and Dwight McNeil meant that the Hammers missed the opportunity to clamber into seventh place in the Premier League.
But more disappointing than that was the nature of the performance; Burnley produced a reaction to their Boxing Day humbling against Everton and West Ham never got to grips with that intensity and energy.
The attack was particularly dire, with Lucas Perez failing to impress, but there was a rare bright spot for Manuel Pellegrini; young striker Xande Silva made his full debut with 13 minutes remaining and looked lively.
The Hammers find themselves in the midst of an injury crisis and that may well provide Silva with more opportunities to play in January – and it seems their supporters want to see more of him.
A young player giving his all will always get the fans on side and we’ve taken a closer look at some of the reaction as the Hammers faithful call on their manager to give Silva more chances to shine…
Can we give him more game time & stop bringing on the useless long haired lump upfront who thinks is he is gonna get a new contract at the end of the season……….erm, think again!!

Should have started instead of Perez. He looked good when he came on but by then we had already given up.

Xande did more than Perez today.
