Brentford progressed to the Championship play-off final last night after a 3-1 win over Swansea City. West Ham fans watched on with intrigue, as Ollie Watkins scored to set the Bees on their way to Wembley.
The Sun linked the forward with a move to the London Stadium back in March and the interest could be revisited this summer.
Watkins, 24 moved into the centre forward role this season following the summer departure of Neal Maupay. He has thrived following the positional tweak, scoring 26 goals, registering three assists.

West Ham finished fourth from bottom in the Premier League last season and David Moyes will know he must improve on that next time around.
With funds likely to be restricted at the London Stadium this summer, the Hammers will probably shop for bargains and the Championship might be their market.
If the Bees win promotion, signing Watkins will become more difficult. Should they lose in the final, however, West Ham supporters want the Hammers to pounce.
It is thought that the Brentford talisman has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for £18 million should the Bees not win promotion this season.
Here is what Hammers fans were saying on Twitter after another rip-roaring display by the Championship striker last night.
