Tottenham are looking for a suitor for midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to Sky Sports News’ transfer live blog, 10:33am, August 8.
They report that the £65,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder is available for loan but have been unable to find a potential destination.
Brighton and Bournemouth were both apparently keen earlier in the window but have since sourced alternatives, leaving Wanyama slightly stuck.
Plenty of West Ham fans took to Twitter in response to the report to urge their club to sign the midfielder from their London rivals ahead of the transfer window slamming shut at 5pm today.

The issue West Ham is that they currently have their full complement of foreign players in their 25-man Premier League squad and would need to shift one out.
Supporters want Carlos Sanchez to be the man left out, forcing him to examine a move to Europe, where the transfer window doesn’t shut until September 2, having sent him a clear message that he’s not wanted.
It appears fairly simple in theory, it would be a real upgrade, Wanyama is not wanted at Tottenham and wouldn’t need to leave London…
