West Ham travel to Burnley on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter want Albian Ajeti to be handed his first start in the English top-flight.
The Hammers play at Turf Moor in the final fixture before the international break and could do with a win to lift them up from 13th in the table.
Manuel Pellegrini’s team have failed to win any of their previous five league matches and have seen a promising start to the campaign come crushing down.
A selection of West Ham supporters on social media have suggested that Ajeti is promoted to the team and given a chance in attack next to Sebastien Haller.
Ajeti has been on the fringes since his summer move to the London Stadium and is yet to really establish himself in the team.
He’s made just five first-team appearances so far and hasn’t started in any of his three league games.
The Swiss centre-forward scored 21 goals in 43 appearances last season for FC Basel, but is yet to set the world alight during his brief stint in England so far.
Here are some West Ham fans on Ajeti:

Seeing Haller and Ajeti start upfront with Anderson just behind them🤩

I would like to see Ajeti start a game alongside Haller just to see if it could work and drop one of the so called flair players, we need goals and we haven’t seen enough of Ajeti #westham https://t.co/QCDrSETu6P

With Ajeti doing more interviews at the moment I wonder if that means he’s in line to start alongside Haller at the weekend? A formation change is desperately needed and we went on a really good run when we played 442 last season.

I would play 4 1 3 2, if we start at the back, I would ensure we had pace on the wings, so they can support the attack. Rice or Noble, Anderson, Wilshere and Lanzini, Antonio with Haller, but give Ajeti a chance while Antonio is out.

Wouldn’t mind Ajeti and Haller upfront against Burnley tbf

It would only be fair to rate Ajeti after playing him up top with Haller for 75+ mins. We litterally have nothing to lose. Agree on Chicha, with he was given more game-time
