Robert Snodgrass has signed a new contract to extend his stay at the London Stadium – and some West Ham fans on Twitter are thrill with the news.
The Hammers confirmed on their official website that the winger has penned a one-year contract extension that keeps him at the club until 2021.
It also includes the option for the Scottish attacker’s deal to be extended by a further 12 months.
The 31-year-old has not had the easiest of times since he joined West Ham in January 2017 and spent the 2017/18 campaign out on loan with Aston Villa rediscovering his form.
He was back in contention last season though for the Hammers under manager Manuel Pellegrini and proved his importance.
Snodgrass played 38 times across all competitions last season, scoring four goals and supplying nine assists in return.
The wide man has an excellent delivery with his left foot and an immense work-rate too both offensively and defensively.
A selection of West Ham supporters are delighted that Snodgrass has seen his contract extended and feel he deserves it.
He will hope to continue playing a key role in the XI next season, where he has competition from teammates such as Felipe Anderson and Michail Antonio for a wide berth.
Here are some West Ham fans discussing Snodgrass:
