West Ham fans take to Twitter to call for Adam Hlozek signing

West Ham United fans have already got three Czechs in their squad, but some want a fourth.

Both Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal shone last season for the Hammers, and in the summer David Moyes went out and signed Alex Kral to make it trio.

Now, though, with a fondness for the nation and their players, many Hammers want to see their club go out and sign the impressive Sparta Prague teenager Adam Hlozek.

Capable of playing off both flanks as well as his preferred centre-forward role, the 19-year-old has really made a name for himself at his young age.

In the Czech top flight last season Hlozek registered 15 goals and eight assists in just 19 appearances (Transfermarkt), and the youngster is already approaching ten caps for his country despite not turning 20 until July.

It is clear that Hlozek is a serious talent, and given that three of his countrymen are already plying their trade at the London Stadium, the fans see his signature as a realistic goal.

Michail Antonio is currently the only out and out striker at West Ham.

While his form is mightily impressive at the moment, having just one striker is a dangerous game.

Should Antonio be struck down with a lengthy injury lay-off, Moyes’ side will be short-staffed and lacking goals.

Antonio has already scored four and assisted three this season (Transfermarkt), but having another striker with him to rotate with or even play alongside will take the burden off of the 31-year-old.

That is where the West Ham fans want Hlozek to come in.

He clearly has plenty of talent, and as he lined up alongside Soucek, Kral and Coufal, the Hammers couldn’t help but call for his signing.
