West Ham fans rip into Mark Noble after his performance against Liverpool

West Ham were beaten by runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool on Wednesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter ripped into captain Mark Noble for his performance.

The Hammers were beaten 2-0 at the London Stadium in the league by a Liverpool team that are racing towards the top-flight table, as they currently sit 19 points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

Meanwhile, David Moyes’ team are currently sat 17th in the table and the latest defeat means they are only outside the relegation places on goal difference.

Mohamed Salah put visitors Liverpool in front from the penalty spot in the first-half, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain netted a second in the 52nd minute with his goal on the counter.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media were left extremely frustrated by senior star Noble for his contribution against the Merseyside club.

The 32-year-old central midfielder retained his spot in the XI and he struggled to get close to opposition captain Jordan Henderson.

He received a booking in the first-half, as well as playing a role in helping Liverpool score their second.

The Hammers have managed to sign midfielder Tomas Soucek late in the January window and perhaps he could put some pressure on the ageing Noble for his starting position.
