Marko Arnautovic started in the league win over Arsenal on Saturday afternoon – and some West Ham fans on social media annihilated him for his performance.
The Hammers earned a 1-0 victory at the London Stadium over Arsenal, with 19-year-old midfielder Declan Rice scoring the winner in the second-half.
They temporarily moved up to eighth in the Premier League table and will still have aspirations of a European finish this season.
A lot of pre-match talk was around the future of Arnautovic, with his agent brother explaining that the player wants to leave the London Stadium in January.
According to Sky Sports, West Ham have already rejected a £35million bid for an unnamed Chinese club for their centre-forward.
The 29-year-old’s future seems uncertain this month and he appeared to wave goodbye to fans when he was substituted off in the second -half against Arsenal.
A selection of West Ham fans on social media were not pleased with his impact at the weekend amid transfer speculation.
The Austria international struggled to create too many opportunities in the final third despite the fact he’s scored eight goals in all competitions so far this season.
Here are some of the West Ham fan tweets on Arnautovic:
Time for Arnautovic to go, not interested in watching a man huffing his way around the pitch. #WHUFC

Should have had Andy on for the whole game. Arnautovic didn’t look like he was putting any effort in.
