West Ham fans react to reported interest in Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby
West Ham are reportedly interested in Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted negatively to the speculation.
According to French publication Foot Mercato, the Hammers are looking at the 23-year-old as a possible target during what remains of the summer transfer window.
It is claimed that David’ Moyes side are joined by Premier League rivals Fulham in monitoring the centre-back, plus Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are also named as admirers.
Diakhaby is already a fairly experienced player aged just 23, having gained first-team experience with both Valencia and previously at Lyon.
The Frenchman has played 71 senior games for Spanish side Valencia, plus made 55 appearances at Lyon.
He is a 6ft 4in centre-back that is good with the ball at his feet and a great passer, but has also proven he is a commanding aerial presence in both boxes.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media aren’t too pleased with the latest transfer speculation and don’t believe he would be a good addition at the London Stadium.
They could do with signing an extra centre-half before the summer transfer window shuts and they are being linked with plenty, but are quickly running out of time to bring someone through the doors.
Here are some Hammers fans discussing target Diakhaby:
i don’t want to sign anyone that tony khan is targeting. https://t.co/MQBvC5JTCp
