A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun which claimed that the Hammers are weighing up making a bid for Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen is undoubtedly one of the most exciting talents outside of the Premier League. The 23-year-old has scored 51 league goals since the start of the 2017/18 campaign. And he has predominantly played out on the right.

Unsurprisingly, there appears to be a host of top flight clubs interested in his signature. The Sun reports that the Hammers are joined by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City in the running.

The report suggests that the Irons are weighing up making a £15 million offer for Bowen in January. It is suggested that Manuel Pellegrini’s men are wary of missing out on the forward if they wait until the summer to make a move.

Hammers fans divided

The reports appear to have divided many of the West Ham fans on social media. There are some who are not overly excited about the links. They do not believe that the Hammers need to strengthen their options out wide.

On the other hand, others believe that he would be a fantastic signing. He clearly has a lethal touch in front of goal, and some are confident that he would shine at the highest level if given the chance.

In fact, some have implored the board to make a move. They do not want to see West Ham miss out to a top flight rival as they believe that Bowen could be an inspired addition.

Here is what some of the supporters make of the reports…
