West Ham fans react to performance of Michail Antonio during 3-1 win

West Ham United roared back to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa to continue their march towards a European place.

The Hammers didn’t play well in Sunday’s defeat to Liverpool but were fantastic against Dean Smith’s team.

A brace from Jesse Lingard on his debut for the club and another goal by Tomas Soucek ensured a comfortable night for West Ham.

It was another man who caught the eye among supporters though.

Michail Antonio helped himself to two assists last night and is clearly enjoying his football.

David Moyes has given him the license to express himself in the Hammers team and he appears to be relishing the responsibility.

His two assists for Lingard highlight that the pair could work well in tandem and it’s an exciting time for supporters.

Antonio earns £70,000-a-week at the London Stadium and is very much the senior figure in attack.

Following Sebastien Haller’s move to Ajax, the 30-year-0ld os pretty much the only striker in Moyes’ ranks.

Following last night’s game, fans took to Twitter to rave about the two assist hero.

They were pleased with his two assists and the ex-Nottingham Forest star is a firm fan favourite.
