West Ham fans react to Patson Daka interest reports

A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on recent reports from the Daily Mirror linking the Hammers with a potential move for Patson Daka.

The Irons certainly need to sign a new striker this month. The club sold Sebastien Haller earlier in the window having already lacked options in the final third.

And it appears that they have a fantastic opportunity to sign Daka. According to the Daily Mirror, David Moyes is keen on the 22-year-old.

And it is claimed that Daka has been offered to the Irons. The Mirror notes that he is valued at around £25 million by Red Bull Salzburg.

Daka boasts a remarkable record from his time in Austria. He has scored eight goals in eight league games this season. And his overall tally for the club stands at 49 in 100 appearances in all competitions.

That is a similar scoring ratio to the one Sadio Mane boasted for the same club before Southampton came calling. And one West Ham fan suggested that Daka reminds them of the Liverpool star.

Plenty feel that he would be an outstanding signing. West Ham have enjoyed some huge success when signing players from leagues with a lower profile, so there is every reason to believe that Daka could indeed prove to be a special player if he moved to the London Stadium.

Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
