West Ham fans have reacted to a new report about midfielder Jack Wilshere and his recovery from injury.
According to The Daily Mail, Wilshere had expected to be back in training and nearing a return to first-team action by now.
The midfielder has been out since October with a pelvic injury, and so far he has turned out just eight times this season.
Apparently, Wilshere is still feeling pain and does not want to aggravate the issue.
The Mail state the former Arsenal man could be looking at another three to four weeks on the sidelines.
The development will be a major frustration for Wilshere, the club and the fans, who have hardly seen him since his move to the club in the summer of 2018.
The 28-year-old has made just 16 first-team appearances since arriving on a free, and the deal is now starting to be questioned by supporters.
Wilshere takes home £100,000-a-week, which is something that is not sitting well with people given how much time he’s spent on the treatment table.
West Ham fans react
Plenty of West Ham fans expressed their frustration on social media following the latest update on Wilshere’s condition:
Worst signing ever. And that’s saying something with the endless dross we have signed over the years. Scandalous business.

Has he ever really returned?

Another MP signing how could we agree to a 3 year deal knowing his medical record if he was a car he’d be scrapped

Don’t worry lads! He’ll work hard over pre season and be fresh to play 3 games next season 🙈

I think he’s made of glass that boy! I wonder how many millions he’s been paid whilst being injured all the time.

Great player just unfortunately a waste of money and a typical Sullivan signing
— Elliot (@ElliotBetts11) 7 January 2020
Oh well when he was available he didn’t do much anyway, past caring about him now

Sell him, tired of all these players we end up with who spend more time recuperating than they do on the pitch. I know its not the players fault but we do seem to get our fair share of sick notes on our pay roll who miss so many games

What a joke. Needs to go ASAP
