West Ham manager David Moyes gave a positive update on the fitness of Arthur Masuaku in his Friday press conference – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were extremely excited by the update.
Masuaku has been unavailable since early December with a knee injury, but Moyes has revealed that he could back in action in around a month.
“At the moment we’re all fine. Arthur Masuaku has started jogging yesterday, so hopefully he’s only a month or so away from being back,” he said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Masuaku, who cost the Hammers a bargain £6million (Sky Sports) four-and-a-half years ago, has been watching his team from the sidelines play some great football.
The 27-year-old was an ever-present in the XI this campaign before his injury setback and he’s an attack-minded defender.
He’s best suited in a left wing-back position to exploit his pace, energy and trickery, but full-back teammate Aaron Cresswell has done a great job in his absence.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media are encouraged with the update on the speedster and can’t wait to have him back in the squad.
With the team currently fifth in the league table, there is now real belief there could be European football at the London Stadium next season.
But a full squad for the rest of this campaign would certainly help them with their ambitions.
