A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jarrod Bowen’s display despite the Hammers ultimately suffering a defeat on Saturday.
David Moyes’s men were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United. However, there were lengthy periods of the game where the Irons were the much better side. And they appeared to have a genuine claim amid complaints about whether the visitors’ equaliser should have stood.

But there were plenty of positives for the Hammers to take. And Bowen’s performance was certainly one of them.
The forward gave Alex Telles a torrid evening. And he threatened to get onto the scoresheet on a number of occasions.

As shown by Whoscored.com, no player had more attempts on goal than Bowen. Admittedly, he should have certainly scored at one stage. But he was not the only Irons player to squander a golden chance.
And plenty of fans felt that Bowen – who earns around £96,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – was outstanding despite the result. Some questioned Moyes’s decision to take him off late on.
Several supporters insisted that he produced another fantastic performance in what is already shaping up to be a remarkable first full season for the 23-year-old at the London Stadium.
