West Ham United are in discussions with Jack Wilshere over his future, with the Daily Mail reporting that talks could see the midfielder’s contract cancelled.
Wilshere has endured a tough spell since moving to the London Stadium. He has managed to make just six Premier League starts in two years, with just two appearances coming since the end of October.

The Daily Mail reports that he has less than one year left on his £100,000-a-week contract at the London Stadium. However, it would appear that he may move on before his terms are currently set to expire.
According to the Mail, West Ham are discussing cancelling the remaining months of Wilshere’s contract. It is suggested that any boost to their finances will go to help David Moyes in the transfer market.

The relationship between the club and the fans already appears to be extremely strained. The sale of Grady Diangana left many feeling incredibly disillusioned.
And the reported decision to potentially cancel Wilshere’s contract is seemingly going to do little to mend that relationship.
Admittedly, few expect Wilshere to rediscover his best form in a West Ham kit. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of frustration on social media.
Many have slammed the club for handing the former England international such a lengthy and lucrative contract in 2018.
And they have questioned the merit of cancelling his contract. If they ultimately pay up for the rest of his deal, then the savings will surely be minimal.
There has also been plenty of fans wishing Wilshere well. On his day, he was previously one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. But his career has been torn apart by injuries, and many hope that he has another chapter to write wherever he ends up next.
Here is how some of the West Ham fans have reacted to the reports…
