West Ham fans react on Twitter to Eden Hazard interest reports

A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports claiming that the Hammers are one of the sides leading the race to sign Eden Hazard.

The Hammers remain on course to go into the January transfer window inside the top four in the Premier League. They sent out a big message at the weekend, beating Chelsea 3-2 despite going behind on two occasions.

Next month could therefore, prove to be pivotal for the Irons. Of course, at the start of the year, they brought in Jesse Lingard on loan. And the move proved to be a masterstroke.

Obviously, everyone knew how good Lingard could be. However, it had been some time since he had been at his best, or even playing regularly in the Premier League. So it was a huge surprise to see how well he performed at the London Stadium.

And perhaps they may be hoping to repeat the trick this time around. It was claimed over the weekend that they lead the race for Hazard, along with Everton.

The Belgian has endured a torrid time with Real Madrid. And Los Blancos are reportedly keen to move his £416,000-a-week wages off the bill.

The report claimed that their asking price has dropped from £43 million to £25.5 million. They would also accept £21 million for a loan move that includes an obligation to buy in the summer.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of West Ham fans have no interest in Hazard joining. In fact, plenty believe that he would not get into Moyes’s team.

There are some who think that he could be worth taking a punt on. But given the figures involved, many cannot see Hazard following in Lingard’s footsteps.
