West Ham fans react on Twitter to Aaron Ramsey links

A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on links with Aaron Ramsey, with Italian outlet Calciomercato claiming that the Hammers are in pole position to sign the midfielder.

It remains to be seen how high the Hammers are able to set their sights this summer. David Moyes’s men remain in a fantastic position in the Premier League.

Should they secure European football for next year, it seems likely that they may set their sights on some marquee moves. And perhaps one of those who could be targeted is Ramsey.

Calciomercato reported over the weekend that it is looking increasingly likely that the 30-year-old will return to the Premier League this summer. And they claim that West Ham are in pole position to sign him.

Ramsey has had a mixed time with Juventus. He has shown glimpses of his quality. But he has not managed to cement himself in the Old Lady’s side.

Given that he is apparently on £400,000-a-week (via BBC Sport), you can see why Juve may be willing to move him on.

And it appears that the links with Ramsey have divided supporters. Some are wary of the financial implications of signing the Welshman given that he has not been a regular starter in Italy.

However, others are much more optimistic. They feel that he could be an inspired signing – just like Jesse Lingard – if he is able to capture his best form at the London Stadium.
