A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Sky Sports suggesting that Chelsea are keen on signing Declan Rice when the summer transfer window opens.
Sky Sports reports that the Blues are hoping to sign a new defensive midfielder this summer. And Rice is reportedly one of the names on their radar.
The report notes that, unsurprisingly, Rice will not come cheap. The youngster has four years left on his contract with West Ham.
It would be intriguing to know what the 21-year-old would make of the interest. He spent eight years on Chelsea’s books before being released in 2014. So he may have mixed emotions about the links.
The West Ham fans have however, implored Rice to ignore any interest from Frank Lampard. They have insisted that he should look to stay at the London Stadium and become a club legend.
They have also warned the owners that West Ham should only be willing to let the England international leave for an eye-watering sum of money.
One fan has even suggested that the Hammers need to look for at least £100 million.
Here is what some of the West Ham fans on social media make of the reports…
