Andriy Yarmolenko enjoyed a night to remember for West Ham United as they thrashed Hull City 5-1 to progress into the Carabao Cup fourth round.
The uncompromising Ukrainian was handed the chance to shine from the start and didn’t disappoint boss David Moyes.
Starting on the right-wing he finished the contest with two goals and two assists, giving the League One outfit a problematic evening.
Moyes opted to ring the changes for the game and that meant Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini, Felipe Anderson and Sebastien Haller all earned a chance to impress.

None of them disappointed but it was the performance of the man with 88 caps for his country that really grasped his opportunity.
Yarmolenko has made two substitute appearances in the league this season and after last night he’s given his manager some food for thought.
The Ukrainian is one of the club’s highest-paid players on £115,000-a-week and he just needs to get his West Ham career heading in the right direction.
Injuries certainly haven’t helped but last night’s game against Hull will have done wonders for his confidence.
