West Ham fans react as Xande Silva scores stunning solo goal

West Ham fans have been reacting to a goal scored by Xande Silva out on loan for Greek side Aris.

The 23-year-old is off the mark for the Super League side, and it was some goal from the Portuguese winger.

The star was featuring in a top-flight match against AE Larissa, and sprung into life right at the death.

Silva was fed the ball on the left-side of the penalty area and was forced to dribble out wide under pressure from two defenders.

As a third joined to try and dispossess him, Silva produced a wonderful tight turn to get away from all three defenders, before opening his body and finishing with aplomb into the far corner.

It had looked like the chance had gone, but the star’s footwork saw him create the space and the crisp finish was just as impressive.

It was a great moment for Silva, who will be hoping for a strong campaign to try and catch the eye of those back at his parent club.

To date, Silva – who joined the club in 2018 from Vitoria Guimaraes – has made just one first-team appearance for the Hammers.

Hopes have been high for him since he hit a four-minute hat-trick on his PL2 debut for the U23s, but injuries and illness have not made life easy.

On social media, fans were wowed by the way he took his goal against Larissa, with some hoping to see Silva back in first-team contention at some point in the near future:
