West Ham forward Sebastien Haller is being strongly linked with an exit from the London Stadium – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by claiming they won’t mind if he’s sold.
French newspaper L’Equipe reports that Dutch giants Ajax are close to completing a deal to sign Haller for £22.6million.
Haller was a £45million (BBC) signing at West Ham by former manager Manuel Pellegrini and it looks like his time in London club be over after just 18 months.
The 26-year-old striker was expected to be a huge success for the Irons, as he had scored 20 goals in all competitions the previous year for Eintracht Frankfurt before he joined West Ham in the 2019 summer window.
With his lack of pace, it’s been tough for the French-born Ivory Coast international to crack the Premier League.
The centre-forward has netted 14 goals in 53 appearances for West Ham in all competitions and is not a regular starter under current manager David Moyes when attacker Michail Antonio is available.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media believe that Haller’s departure this month would make sense for all parties and would be glad to see him leave.
Aged 26, he could be presented with the perfect opportunity to get back to his best and the Eredivisie should suit him more than the Premier League.
