West Ham fans react as report claims AC Milan are interest in Fabian Balbuena

Some West Ham United supporters have given their reaction on social media, after a report claimed AC Milan are interested in signing Fabian Balbuena in January.

According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are considering a move for the Paraguay international next month, as well as Basel defender Omar Alderete. The two players share the same agent.

It is thought Alderete is Milan’s priority, but West Ham may have to brace for interest in the man they signed for just £6.5 million in the summer of 2018 (Sky Sports).

Balbuena enjoyed a great first season at the London Stadium, but lost his place in the side at the start of 2019/20.

He recently came back into the starting XI, and looked fairly solid last weekend against Southampton.

At the moment he is in the side ahead of Issa Diop, which fans certainly wouldn’t have expected at the start of the season.

West Ham fans react

West Ham supporters appear fairly divided over the idea of Balbuena leaving next month.

Realistically the Hammers probably need to be keeping him because they don’t have many other central defenders.

But there’s a chance for the club to make a profit on the South American while his form is good.
