West Ham fans react as Pablo Fornals impresses against Tottenham
West Ham United climbed into the top four after a stunning 2-1 win over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon – and Hammers supporters have raved about midfielder Pablo Fornals following the win.
The Hammers came into the match with the chance of reaching the top four, but faced a Spurs side that were excellent in Europe during the week – beating Austrian outfit Wolfsberger 4-1 away in Budapest.
But clearly, that European excursion took its toll on Spurs. They started slowly and Michail Antonio took advantage – flicking a Jarrod Bowen cross past Hugo Lloris. Immediately after the second half, it was two.

Fornals flicked the ball into the path of Jesse Lingard and after a lengthy – yet pointless – VAR check, Lingard was declared onside and his brilliant left-footed finish saw West Ham go two ahead. Spurs brought on Gareth Bale.
They were much-improved with the Welshman on the pitch and his corner was headed in by Lucas Moura. West Ham held out, with Bale hitting the bar, to secure all three points and climb into a lofty fourth position.
Hammers fans took to Twitter in their drones after the match in a good mood – and many applauded the work rate of Spain cap and £67,00-a-week (Spotrac) star Fornals, as well as the debate between him and Said Benrahma.
Don't underestimate the importance of Fornals run for our first goal. Without that Dier clears easily…

You must be crazy… benrahma is not goodnin backtracking. He lost the ball twice and stopped running back. Fornals is 💯 % giving all in his games

Fornals works really hard and is part of a hard working team , doesn’t deserve slating nor does any player , I would like his final ball to be better different player to benrhama but both are a fit in this West Ham team , 25 tomorrow will get better, people have opinions thats it

Fornals instead of Benrahma. Better defensively and we’ll do a lot of defending.
