West Ham fans react as new signing makes U21 cameo
West Ham United fans got a glimpse of their new £24 million signing on Sunday (BBC Sport), with Pablo Fornals turning out for Spain U21s at the European Championships against Italy.
The Italians ran out 3-1 winners thanks to a brace from Lorenzo Pellegrini and a goal from Federico Chiesa, after Spain had taken the lead through Dani Ceballos.

Spain have it all to do now, with games against Belgium and Poland to come.
Head coach Luis de la Fuente Castillo opted to leave new Hammer Fornals on the bench, with 2017 Player of the Tournament Ceballos starting in the number 10 role.
The former Villarreal star was introduced in the second half though and was bright during his cameo.
West Ham fans are very exciting for his arrival ahead of 2019/20 having forged a reputation as being a bit of a trickster in La Liga.

Fornals has lots of flair and is a very talented playmaker.
He didn’t have much time to make his mark against Italy, but his quality was still obvious.
West Ham fans react
Despite minimal time on the pitch, Fornals made an impression on these Irons fans:
I was impressed with Pablo Formals when he came on with just 25 mins to go for Spain u-21 v Italy u-21 what a baller he is I can see why Manuel Pellegrini & Mario Husilous bought him for West Ham! I think he will be even better than Manuel Lanzini in my opinion! ⚒️?

He did ‘okay’, couple of nice passes/crosses but didn’t get much of the ball
Nearly got injured by Italy’s Pellegrini, how West Ham would that have been?
Hopefully starts in their next game as they lost tonight https://t.co/idoSWVbcLv

FT Spain 1-3 Italy very impressed with @pablofornals despite the fact he only got 23 mins, should’ve been on from the start, this young man is gonna be a handful for defenders in the PL
