West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has signed a new contract at the London Stadium – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are over the moon with the news.

The Hammers have confirmed (official website) on Wednesday afternoon that the 35-year-old has penned a fresh deal.

He’s now extended his stay with the Irons for another year until June 2022.

The contract news comes just one day after West Ham confirmed that captain Mark Noble has also signed on for another year, which will be his final season with the club.

Fabianski, 35, is the first-choice goalkeeper for the Hammers and has been such a consistent player since he moved to London back in 2018 from Swansea City.

The Polish shot-stopper has nine clean sheets in the Premier League already this season, proving that at his age he’s still a top performer.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media are delighted with the latest contract news.

Manager David Moyes currently has a squad pushing hard for a European finish this season, with the Champions League not beyond them at this point.

A lot of success has been built on the defence, with Fabianski so vital in goal with his ability to pull of reflex saves and also be a safe pair of hands from crosses into the box.

Here are some Hammers fans discussing Fabianski:
