Liverpool and Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with the agent of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice over a potential summer move away from London – and Hammers fans have responded to the news that the Reds are interested.
Rice only turned 22 in January but has already clocked up 136 appearances at senior level for the Hammers, and is captaining his side with Mark Noble struggling to get into the team. His form has seen him earn 10 England caps.
The midfielder has shown he can play as a holding midfielder, a box-to-box midfielder or as a centre-back. 90Min claim that West Ham might reduce their asking price to a bargain £50million, and Liverpool are now said to be keen.
The Transfer Window podcast’s journalist Ian McGarry has claimed that Liverpool and Manchester United have both opened talks with the agent of Rice over a potential summer move – but has stated that Chelsea are no longer interested.
West Ham fans have responded on Twitter to the news that both Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in Rice – and many are desperate to keep him at the London Stadium, but one fan suggested that at a price of £100million, he could go.
