West Ham United have reappointed David Moyes and are reportedly ready to back the former Everton and Manchester United boss in the January transfer window with Olivier Giroud a target – and Hammers fans would welcome his addition.
The Sun claim Moyes is desperate to add competition up front with Sebastian Haller struggling since his £45million move from Eintracht Frankfurt. Indeed, the summer signing has only managed five goals all season.
Giroud, 33, is out of favour at Chelsea with Frank Lampard preferring to use Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi. Indeed, 97-time France international Giroud has been afforded just five Premier League outings all season.

It is likely that Giroud will be allowed to leave on the cheap in January given his current contract situation. With the Frenchman’s £110,000-a-week (Spotrac) contract expiring in the summer, a cut-price fee could be agreed next month.
Moyes has also been linked with a move for Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen, as he looks to immediately make his mark in his second spell as Hammers boss – with the east Londoners sitting just one point above the relegation zone in 17th place.
Hammers fans have reacted to the reported news that Moyes wants to bring former Arsenal target man Giroud to the London Stadium. Another Sun report has claimed that Crystal Palace are keen, with just £3million needed to sign the France star.
