West Ham are reportedly planning to get rid of Jack Wilshere this summer – and some of the club’s supporters have responded to claim his signing was wrong in the first place and they would like to see him leave.

The Times claimed on Friday that the 28-year-old is no longer required at the London Stadium and the Hammers want to try offload him in the current window.

It is understood that talks have started with him about his future and they are trying to find a solution.

The report explains that West Ham may be prepared to buy him out of his contract which has one year remaining on it, alternatively they could subsidise his £100,000-a-week wages to see him move elsewhere.

West Ham signed Wilshere on a free transfer in July 2018 following his departure from Arsenal, but have spent big money on his astronomical wages.

The left-footed midfielder could only manage 10 first-team appearances during the 2019/20 campaign and there is no doubt frequent injuries throughout his career has prevented him from going on to reach his full potential, as there was a time he was a youngster at Arsenal dazzling on the Champions League stage.
