West Ham fans react as club reportedly battling Tottenham and Tuchel for player

West Ham United are reportedly battling London clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the race to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson – and Hammers fans clearly want him signed on Twitter.

Henderson, 23, returned to Manchester United last summer after two years on loan with Sheffield United. But the England international has only managed to feature 12 times in all competitions – conceding nine goals.

The Manchester Evening News have claimed that Henderson has informed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he is unhappy at Old Trafford given his lack of game time. He wants to leave this summer, if he remains back-up.

That is expected given Solskjaer’s faith in Spain international David De Gea despite another somewhat below-par season. It is believed that United are looking for a fee of £40million for Henderson at the end of the season.

West Ham are said to have expressed their interest to Manchester United – one of David Moyes’ former sides – but they are not alone. Tottenham want a replacement for Hugo Lloris, while Chelsea are also being linked.

West Ham supporters took to Twitter after hearing that their club are reportedly keen on signing Henderson in the coming months – and the majority of fans are desperate to see him end up at the London Stadium.

It remains to be seen if the Hammers can afford to sign Henderson given his valuation, and that he is earning an enormous £100,000 a week at United – according to Spotrac.
