West Ham fans react as club linked with Steven Nzonzi

Some West Ham fans have been reacting to reports the club are interested in a move for Steven Nzonzi.

Gazzette dello Sport reported recently that the Hammers were keen on a deal for the World Cup-winning Frenchman, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from AS Roma.

It is highly unlikely he’ll be staying there, having recently been suspended by the club for disciplinary reasons.

Nzonzi has been a Roma player since the summer of 2018, with I Giallorossi paying around £27 million (Goal) to sign the midfield enforcer from Sevilla.

The 31-year-old is now supposedly a target for West Ham, who are light at the moment in midfield.

Jack Wilshere and Manuel Lanzini’s injury problems have meant an increased workload for the likes of Declan Rice and Mark Noble in central midfield.

David Moyes is expected to try and add some depth this month, and Nzonzi – who has previous Premier League experience with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City – could be an option for the Scot.

Gazzetta state there is also interest from Everton and Lyon, so the Irons may need to get a move on.
