West Ham United have officially confirmed that striker Marko Arnautovic has left the club to join Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.
The Austria international brings to an end a two-year stint at the London Stadium, and has finally got his wish of moving to the Far East.

Back in January he came close to leaving but the club blocked his exit, and he then signed a new deal.
That has counted for nothing, with Arnautovic having now left for a fee of around £22 million according to The Telegraph – considerably less than the £35 million reportedly offered six months ago (BBC Sport).
There appears to be some bad blood over the exit, with many West Ham fans noting the tone of the statement that was put out announcing his departure.
It read: “West Ham United can confirm that Marko Arnautovic has joined Chinese Super League champions Shanghai SIPG for an undisclosed fee.

“The 30-year-old Austrian departs after two seasons at London Stadium, during which he scored 22 goals in 65 appearances in Claret and Blue.”
Just two sentences long and no best wishes perhaps suggests this was an ugly conclusion to the saga.
West Ham fans react
Many West Ham fans were pleased to see the back of the 30-year-old, who has been a controversial figure at the club, and many praised the brutal club statement:
