Plenty of West Ham United fans have backed the idea of Celtic signing Albian Ajeti this summer – but they are hoping that the Hammers do not cut all ties with the striker.
Sky Sports reported this week that Ajeti has attracted the Hoops’ attention, with Neil Lennon’s side open to signing him on loan or on a permanent basis.

Interestingly considering the summer signing has not scored a goal in nine substitute appearances for the Hammers in the top flight, Sky Sports added that there are also Premier League rivals keen on signing the £8 million Swiss.
But Celtic may perhaps find themselves in pole position. Sky Sports noted that the Scottish Premiership champions have made an enquiry.

Admittedly, there a number of West Ham fans who do not believe that Ajeti is good enough and thus, should be sold on a permanent basis this summer.
However, there are plenty who want to see the Irons keep him on the books and send him to Celtic for a year on loan.
They have suggested that it is too soon to write him off entirely.
In fairness, a loan move does look to make a lot of sense for West Ham. If they attempt to sell him permanently this summer, it would not be a surprise to see clubs offer significantly less than what the Irons paid a year ago.
However, if he thrives on loan, his value should increase significantly. From there, West Ham could decide to keep him and hand him more chances, or they may be able to move him on for a good price.
Here is how some of the West Ham fans reacted to the links with Celtic…
