West Ham fans rage at Robert Snodgrass performance against Wolves

West Ham were beaten away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter ripped into their player Robert Snodgrass for his performance.

The Hammers suffered a 2-0 loss at Molineux in the Premier League and were unable to build on the weekend’s win over Chelsea.

Manuel Pellegrini’s team sit 13th in the league table just two points above the drop zone and it seems like the microscope is still firmly on the manager.

Leander Dendoncker opened the scoring in the first-half for fifth-placed Wolves, as he ended up converting from a corner.

Substitute Patrick Cutrone then added a second in the 86th minute to earn maximum points for the hosts and they have beaten West Ham three times in the Premier League since 2018.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media singled out Snodgrass for major criticism for his contribution in midweek and feel he was shocking.

After a sixth consecutive league start, the right-winger was unable to provide a clinical attacking threat and gave away some sloppy fouls.

The 32-year-old should have levelled the match after he found himself beyond the Wolves backline, but some poor dribbling and a lack of composure saw goalkeeper Rui Patricio deny him.

The Scotsman has been one of the Hammers players to show a great work-rate during a difficult season, but a lack of quality let him down in the recent match.
