West Ham fans praise their “incredible” defender after West Brom victory

West Ham recorded a vital 3-1 victory away to West Brom on Wednesday night – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were left wowed by the individual performance of their star Vladimir Coufal.

The Hammers came from behind at the Hawthorns to earn three precious points in the Premier League fixture.

Tomas Soucek, Angelo Ogbonna and Michail Antonio all scored for the Irons to secure the win in the penultimate game of the league season.

The result means David Moyes’ side are sixth in the table going into the final league match at home to Southampton.

If West Ham avoid defeat, they’ll secure sixth spot and achieve the incredible feat of qualifying for next season’s Europa League competition.

Celtic strike Premier Sports deal - is this the "additional value" we've been waiting for?

It’s worth adding that it looks like they’ll finish seventh at worst to at least qualify for some form of European football next year – barring an unlikely goal swing against them.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media believe that Coufal was once again a standout performer for them.

The 28-year-old right-back has been a breath of fresh air during his first season at the London Stadium.

He delivered yet another consistent display against West Brom where he was defensively resilient, plus he looked a threat with his overlapping runs whenever he pushed forward.

Here are some Hammers fans hailing Coufal:
