West Ham fans praise loanee Nathan Holland for his Oxford display

Nathan Holland impressed during Oxford United’s FA Cup tie on Tuesday night – and some West Ham fans on Twitter were left praising him for his performance.

The Hammers decided to loan out the 21-year-old winger in January for the rest of the season to League One outfit Oxford.

He completed 120 minutes in midweek for Oxford, as they took Premier League opposition Newcastle United to extra-time in an FA Cup fourth round replay.

Oxford were level at 2-2 after 90 minutes, with Holland scoring a spectacular volley in the 94th minute to send the match into extra-time.

The left-winger completed a late comeback for the lower league opposition and he caught the eye all night with his dazzling contribution out wide.

But eventually Allan Saint-Maximin fired in a winner for Newcastle in the 116th minute to snatch a 3-2 win for the visitors.

A selection of West Ham supporters were majorly impressed by their loanee following his display and some believe he should be around the first-team at the London Stadium right now.

The left-winger did come off the bench in two Premier League games in December against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal, but the club decided a loan spell would be best for his development.

His goal against Newcastle was his first since joining Oxford, but he was a real threat all game with his direct dribbling and also the technique he showed for his volley.
