With West Ham’s season beginning with a 4-0 loss to Manchester United and the transfer window still open, many fans have been voicing their opinion on social media.
The Hammers fan base are still recovering from their defeat at Old Trafford, with their performance well below par. New signings Pablo Zabaleta, Marco Arnuatovic and Javier Hernandez had debuts to forget, all for differing reasons.
The Argentinian right-back was given a torrid afternoon by Marcus Rashford, the former Stoke City man Arnuatovic failed to trouble Antonio Valencia, while Hernandez struggled to test his former teammate David de Gea.
Hammer’s fans, along with talk about the weekend’s result, have also been discussing transfer action involving their side.
Winger Sofiane Feghouli has left for Galatasaray after failing to make a real impact for the London side. The Algerian winger joined the Turkish club on a five-year contract for €4.25 million, as per Galatasaray’s official website.
The 27-year-old scored four goals for West Ham last season, making 27 appearances. He only stayed at the club for a season after joining from Valencia on a three-year deal.
Another player that may follow Feghouli out of West Ham is Robert Snodgrass. The Scotland international has also failed to make an impression under Slaven Bilic and it may cost him, according to the Evening Standard.
