West Ham fans not pleased with Pablo Fornals treatment under David Moyes

Some West Ham fans have called out their manager David Moyes for his treatment of Pablo Fornals following the club’s exit from the FA Cup on Saturday.

The Hammers were beaten 1-0 at home by Championship leaders West Brom, as they were dumped out of the cup in the fourth round.

Conor Townsend fired in a left-footed finish after only nine minutes following a mix up at the back and West Brom held on with only 10 men for the final 20 minutes, as Semi Ajayi was sent off for the hosts.

With West Ham currently only sat above the relegation places in the Premier League on goal difference, a cup defeat will only increase more frustration at the club.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media were not impressed with the performance of Fornals against West Brom and pin a lot of the blame on Moyes.

The attacking midfielder lasted just the first-half before he was substituted off at half-time, with the manager making a triple substitution to try force the issue.

Fornals arrived at the London Stadium for £24million (BBC) in the summer from Villarreal and had a tough couple of months adjusting to English football.

But the 23-year-old playmaker started to hit top form in November and December under Manuel Pellegrini before his sacking.

The attacking midfielder has only completed 90 minutes once in six games across all competitions since Moyes took charge and appears to have lost his spark.

It seems like Manuel Lanzini is above him in the pecking order right now and some fans feel that Moyes is dragging Fornals backwards.
