West Ham fans not pleased with Michail Antonio on the bench v Cardiff

West Ham travel to Cardiff City on Saturday in the Premier League – and many supporters are angry that Michail Antonio has been named on the bench.

The 28-year-old attacker has been named amongst the substitutes for the second league game on the spin, despite being in good form this season.

He’s scored five goals and supplied five assists in 30 games across all competitions this season.

Manuel Pellegrini has decided to name Robert Snodgrass and Felipe Anderson in the wide areas, which means he sticks with the same XI that beat Newcastle 2-0 in their last game.

West Ham are still in the hunt for the European spots this campaign, but are going to need a strong finish to the campaign.

A victory away to Cardiff will make it three wins out of four and they are beginning to discover some form as some key players return.

Antonio is going to have to fight his way back into the team at the London Stadium and will hope for an opportunity off the bench to prove himself.

The English powerhouse had been in good form before his surprise axe and has potentially just been given a rest.

Here are some of the West Ham fans voicing their displeasure at Antonio’s absence.
