West Ham fans keen to sign Alexis Claude-Maurice following reported £10million bid

West Ham have reportedly made an offer for Lorient attacker Alexis Claude-Maurice – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have given a green light on the potential swoop.

According to Sky Sports, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have launched a £10million bid for the dazzling French winger.

It is understood that the player has ambition of playing at a higher level.

Claude-Maurice has just enjoyed a brilliant individual campaign, but was unable to get his side Lorient over the line for promotion in the French second-tier.

He proved his quality though with 14 goals and four assists in 36 matches across all competitions for Lorient.

The wide player has broken into the first team at Lorient in recent years after being in their academy set-up and the 21-year-old is tipped for stardom.

He’s a speed machine that is a great dribbler one-on-one but it would be a step up to compete against Premier League defences.

A selection of West Ham fans on social media are pleased with the speculation and are keen for a deal to be wrapped up for him.

They believe that the promising talent is worth a punt at £10million and that he could add some quality to the London Stadium.
