West Ham recorded a 0-0 draw away to Southampton on Tuesday – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter applauded their defender Craig Dawson for his individual performance.
The Hammers had to settle for a point at St Mary’s with a goalless draw in the Premier League fixture.
They’ve now had back-to-back draws in games against Brighton and Southampton, but West Ham boss David Moyes can at least be pleased about a clean sheet after their recent problems at the back.
The Irons had conceded five goals in their previous two matches ahead of the Southampton game and they certainly tightened things up at the back.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media believe that Dawson deserved big credit for his effort at the back, with some admitting they were doubting him before a ball was kicked.
The 30-year-old was making his competitive debut for the club alongside Angelo Ogbonna in the heart of defence and the duo stood firm against a strong opposition.
He is an experienced no-nonsense centre-back that looked dominant in the air during the contest and was an assured figure in defence, as he showed why he played 225 games for former club West Brom.
