West Ham recorded a dramatic 3-3 draw against Brighton on Saturday in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were heavily impressed by the debut of January signing Tomas Soucek.

The Hammers will be left bitterly disappointed after they managed to pick up just a point at the London Stadium against Brighton.

Issa Diop and Robert Snodgrass both scored to put David Moyes’ side into a two-goal lead at half-time, with the team looking on course for three precious points.

Angelo Ogbonna’s own goal reduced the deficit after the break, but a second Snodgrass goal to make it 3-1 looked like it would be enough.

But Pascal Gross and Glenn Murray both scored inside the final 15 minutes to snatch a point for Brighton, which will only intensify relegation fears at West Ham.

They travel to Manchester City and Liverpool in their next two league matches, which is why their current spot in the bottom three of the table looks extremely precarious.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media did find some relief from the performance of Soucek on his debut.

He’s arrived from Slavia Prague to add some extra steel in the midfield and he certainly did that during his 85 minutes on the pitch.

The Czech Republic international put in a real box-to-box contribution from the central midfield role and it looks like he could be a regular starter moving forward.

There is a serious physical presence about him and he dropped in deep when needed, as well as bursting forward to the final third in the first-half too.

Here are some West Ham fans praising Soucek despite the draw:
