West Ham fans hail Pablo Fornals for Southampton performance

West Ham earned a much-needed victory over Southampton at the weekend in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter picked out Pablo Fornals as a major positive for his display.

The Hammers beat Southampton at the London Stadium 3-1 to lift themselves out of the relegation zone in the league table and up to 16th.

January signing Jarrod Bowen opened his goalscoring account for his new club by putting the hosts in front in the 15th minute, but Southampton quickly equalled through Michael Obafemi.

David Moyes’ side did scored before and after half-time though to wrap up a precious three points, with Sebastien Haller then Michail Antonio getting on the scoresheet.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media picked out Fornals for his contribution against the Saints and feel he was influential.

The Spanish attacking midfielder supplied two assists on Saturday and on his day certainly injects quality to the side.

He was recalled to the XI after scoring off the bench in the last game during the defeat to Liverpool and he showed perhaps why he should be a more regular starter under Moyes.

The 24-year-old has the vision and creativity in the final third to help his teammates, which is why supporters are extremely positive about him.
