Reece Oxford is reportedly close to completing a permanent move to German club Augsburg from West Ham – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are pleased with the speculation.
The 20-year-old moved to the Bundesliga back in January in search of first-team football and hasn’t made a senior appearance for the Hammers since October 2016.
According to Sky Sports, the English defender is “close to agreeing” a switch to Augsburg.
It is understood that personal terms are not yet agreed, but the move could be worth £8million.
Oxford has come through the academy at West Ham, but been unable to make a full breakthrough and doesn’t appear to be in the plans of current boss Manuel Pellegrini.
He is a ball-playing centre-back that can slot into midfield too and does have a lot of potential.

A selection of West Ham fans have given a thumbs up to a permanent exit and feel that £8million would be good business for them if they offload him in the summer.
He featured 17 times in the first team and was highly-rated when he breakthrough as a teenager, but hasn’t been able to kick on since.
