West Ham fans giddy with excitement ahead of Thursday night

West Ham fans can’t wait for European home return.

The Hammers are brimming with excitement ahead of their home return to European football.

David Moyes’ side got off to a flier when they beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 away in their Europa League opener.

However, this is the game the fans have been dying for.

The Hammers haven’t had a fruitful history in Europe in recent years.

Everton's 2013-14 5th Place XI: Where Are They Now?

In 2016 and 2017 the Irons found themselves knocked out of the Europa League in the qualifying rounds by Astra Giurgiu.

Those days are now behind the club, though, and they can look forward to a good run this time around.

A win on Thursday will put the Hammers in the drivers seat to qualify for their group.

They’ll be six points from six with a win over Rapid Wein heading into home and away trips against Genk.

Should the Irons win those two games too, they could well seal qualification from the group after just four games.

The supporters will be desperate to make this run in Europe count.

Midweek games under the lights are what the supporters are vying for.

The atmosphere when they beat Leicester 4-1 on a Monday night earlier in the season was electric.

The fans will now want to replicate that when they host their Austrian rivals tomorrow.

West Ham are in fine form at the moment too.

The Hammers are absolutely flying and will be desperate to challenge on multiple fronts as they eye up a Europa League run.

What have the fans been saying?
