West Ham fans discuss Vladimir Coufal as Hammers draw 1-1 v Brighton

West Ham’s winless run of league games has stretched to three after drawing against Brighton – and fans have discussed Vladimir Coufal.

Coming into the game, West Ham had suffered two straight defeats to Wolves and Manchester City and were desperate on turning it around.

They got off to the perfect start. Inside five minutes, Tomas Soucek nodded home from an inswinging corner – the Hammers proving effective again.

But ultimately, the Hammers failed to pick up three points. Neal Maupay scored late on for the Seagulls, to the relief of Graham Potter.

The Brighton gaffer was booed at full-time following a 0-0 draw with Leeds on Saturday – harshly. Defeat would have strengthened those views.

Coufal, 29, was handed his first Premier League start since October 3rd and he did not disappoint. Ben Johnson had been previously displacing him.

What are West Ham fans saying about defender Coufal?

Coufal was excellent going forward. The right-back had three shots at goal, and delivered two key passes for his West Ham teammates.

WhoScored also suggest he was solid when in possession, proving to boast the third-best passing rate in the Hammers side – with 76%.

Certainly, the £31k-a-week (Spotrac) defender reminded David Moyes and West Ham what he is all about. Hammers fans were impressed on Twitter.
