West Ham fans demand Nathan Trott recall on Twitter

West Ham United are going through a testing period at the moment.

The Irons are struggling and are winless in six games and fans are starting to get a little restless.

The club are actually only four points behind fifth-placed Sheffield United, but performances have been concerning.

Since the shock 4-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Oxford United last month, the Hammers just haven’t been at the races.

Losing Lukasz Fabianski to injury has not helped their cause, with the Polish stopper arguably the best goalkeeper outside the traditional top six.

Spanish goalkeeper Roberto has replaced him between the sticks, but has looked extremely shaky so far.

On Thursday the club extended its best wishes to youngster Nathan Trott, who is celebrating his 21st birthday, on Twitter.

The goalkeeper is on loan at AFC Wimbledon for the season, and by all accounts has been doing well at Kingsmeadow.

Knowing how Roberto has really struggled so far, many West Ham supporters responded to the club’s message to the talented Trott by demanding he be recalled.
